May Snow Storm in Denver
One week after returning from Mexico it snowed … again … and it is May. The upside of this May snow storm is it inspired me to make some arty photos.

Hi there. Bill and I have provided wedding photography services for 4 weddings in Northern Colorado so far this year and are ready for the main wedding season to begin. We have just enjoyed a quick trip to Cancun before we get crazy busy. We stayed at the ME Cancun Hotel which was very plush and relaxed. Lying by the pool in 90 degree sunshine and having drinks and snacks delivered was the perfect way to begin our stay. While Bill went flats fly-fishing for a day I went out and played at a zip-line dune buggy operation. Mid-week we took the ferry over to Isla Mujeres and rented a golf cart to explore the island on our own. The hotel zone of Cancun has been developed to such an extent that it seems a lot like Las Vegas. However, Isla Mujeres was more like the Mexico that we remember from previous trips. The island had a less developed shore line including lots of little shops and cafes. Several motor scooter near misses and many iguana sightings were the day’s highlights. Even though we are professional wedding photographers we take a little pocket camera with us for the normal vacation snapshots. ☺
Hope you enjoyed our vacation photographs! We’re back in Colorado and are looking forward to another exciting wedding season. We encourage you to browse our website and look through our wedding photography gallery to see how we have captured memories for couples throughout Denver and Northern Colorado. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
The Red Rocks Event Center, located just 15 miles west of downtown Denver, offers unique wedding photography opportunities. Red Rocks is the only natural, open-air amphitheatre in the world. The 300 million year old amphitheatre is an extraordinary wedding venue offering astounding acoustics and breathtaking views.
At Sherri Barber Photography, we look for untraditional scenes and were to find many among the 2,300-foot rocks at the Red Rocks Event Center. The wedding photographs below were taken at Red Rocks Event Center in the fall. The couple had their ceremony outside the visitor center followed by a reception in the main dining room. As you can see, we were able to capture both posed and unposed moments for truly memorable wedding photographs.
If you would like a wedding photographer who can find untraditional scenes and capture the emotional, authentic moments of your special day, contact Sherri Barber Photography serving the greater Denver area. We offer a variety of wedding photography packages to meet your needs and budget.
