Jennifer & Eric at The Manor House in Littleton
We recently had the pleasure of shooting Jennifer and Eric’s wedding at The Manor House in Littleton, Colorado, just southwest of Denver and near Ken Caryl. It was a great day for a wedding. The weather was excellent and the slight breeze blowing through the area kept things from getting too hot.
The couple decided to get their dog Floyd into the mix as a ring bearer (and he did a great job). The outdoor wedding ceremony offered some great views of the Denver skyline, and from the porch of The Manor house, you could take in the grandeur of the Ken Caryl valley below. All of these scenic views made for great wedding photos throughout their ceremony and celebration. There was dancing and fun and cigars smoked on the porch of The Manor House all into the wee hours of the night.

Kristin & Paul at The Hudson Gardens and The Grand Hyatt
Our packed summer of wedding photography continued with Kristin and Paul, whose outdoor wedding was held at The Hudson Gardens in Littleton, Colorado. They picked The Hudson Gardens because they both have a fondness for flowers. The garden grounds have a number of different spots for your wedding ceremony or wedding reception, including a pond with water lilies, a fountain surrounded by rosebuds, and more.
The couple held their wedding reception on the top floor of The Grand Hyatt in Downtown Denver, which provided some incredibly gorgeous views of the city. Rather than choosing a wedding cake, the couple served up an assortment of delicious cupcakes, which capped off a lovely event.

Olivia & Micah at Keystone Resort in Keystone, Colorado
We first met Olivia and Micah at a bridal festival in Denver last winter. We were thrilled to be included as part of their wedding party, especially because it was going to be held at the top of a mountain at Keystone Resort. Keystone Resort offers a few different places to hold your wedding, which means lots of beautiful memories and fresh air among such majestic mountains and scenic views.
There was a snag, however. While Olivia and Micah didn’t plan on a cool and rainy day, that’s what they got.
So enter “Plan B”…
Fortunately the lodge was big enough to accommodate both the wedding ceremony as well as the wedding reception. The staff at Keystone was experienced and really professional when it came to switching the plan. This is good news for anyone considering a wedding way up high–after all, mountain top weather can change very quickly. Just like the staff at Keystone, we pride ourselves in being able to shift gears on the fly. We always make great wedding photos regardless of unexpected changes in plans.
Olivia and Micah didn’t let the weather dampen their excitement either. It was a great night had by all. Bill and I actually enjoyed our own special moment together that night. We rode down a gondola after dark as the town lights glowed in the valley below. And as we walked through the Keystone Village, we noticed a red fox in the promenade adjacent to us, and we watched as it trotted along in the night.
